Skyhigh Security Named a Gartner Peer Insights Customers’ Choice for SSE

By Anand Ramanathan - Chief Product Officer, Skyhigh Security

Headlines continue to report the shift workforces everywhere are turning to remote and hybrid options. With this new approach to work becoming the norm, organizations across all industries – from manufacturing to financial to government organizations across local and federal sectors – are seeking long-term solutions for securing data. Sounds simple, right? While deliverables continued to be met and quarterly goals surpassed, the real challenge of working from home manifested in security, or the sudden threat to sensitive data which was now being accessed through networks and devices not cleared or controlled by IT.

New challenges such as personal laptops and vulnerable home networks are only insurmountable if you continue to approach them through traditional strategies which, in the Before Times pre-dating the COVID Pandemic, was more focused on securing the devices or the network itself. Cybersecurity in the age of remote and hybrid work called for a new approach to securing the enterprise. That was the mindset of Skyhigh Security: find a new and reliable strategy that would keep sensitive data secure no matter the device, no matter the location.

From the recent results of Gartner Peer Insights, customers agree that Skyhigh Security has developed the right kind of strategy for today’s workforce.

User Feedback: Skyhigh Security Customers Have Spoken

The 2022 Gartner Peer Insights ‘Voice of the Customer’: Security Service Edge (SSE) report is based on feedback and ratings from end-user professionals who purchase, implement, and use the Skyhigh Security platform. The Gartner Peer Insights methodology collects data to help clients with a synthesis of which vendor products are the most highly rated by customers for SSE solutions. Vendors recognized as a Customers’ Choice must have 50 or more approved ratings and an average overall rating of 4.5 stars or greater. In addition to providing an overall score, Gartner Peer Insights allows customers and prospects to pivot by company size, vertical, geography, date and reviewer role. These were the standards that Skyhigh Security were subjected to, from those people who knew us after day-to-day operations where our products were tried and tested against a variety of thread.

The Skyhigh SSE Portfolio is cloud-native, architected with Zero Trust principles, and provides a common data loss prevention (DLP) and policy engine. The Skyhigh SSE portfolio includes Skyhigh Secure Web Gateway (SWG), Skyhigh Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB), and Skyhigh Private Access, all leveraging a common platform.

“The Secure Web Gateway meets and, in most cases, exceeds our requirements in the FINTECH space. Working with their pre-sales, post-sales, and professional services individuals has made a very complex and time-consuming migration strategy much more streamlined.”

Putting Customers First: Earning More Distinctions Than Most Other Vendors

Skyhigh Security was named a Customer’s Choice in the 2022 Gartner Peer Insights Voice of the Customer: SSE report, these results coming from clientele across North America, Asia Pacific, Europe, and the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). Within the report, the Skyhigh Security Service Edge (SSE) platform achieved an overall rating of 4.7 out of five out of 200 verified customer reviews, as of May 31, 2022, achieving the ‘Customers Choice’ across more segments than most other vendors included in the report.

“Using the on-premise Secure Web Gateway to implement a consistent, easy to manage policy for remote users in the cloud proxy. This is the best on the market.”
— Security & Risk Manager, Food & Beverage Industry. Read full review here.

In this report, a total of 17 cybersecurity vendors were assessed, and it was Skyhigh Security that received Customers’ Choice distinctions across all company size segments, the finance segment, and all deployment region segments, as defined by Gartner. Notably, Skyhigh Security was one of only two vendors with Customers’ Choice distinctions in the Global Enterprise Segment (10B+ USD) and Europe, the Middle East and Africa segments. This peer-distinction follows the previous Gartner recognition of Skyhigh Security as a Leader in the 2022 Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ for Security Service Edge and the 2022 Critical Capabilities for SSE, where Skyhigh Security received the highest score amongst all vendors, across each of the Use Cases being evaluated: Secure Web and Cloud Usage, Detect and Mitigate Threats, Connecting and Securing Remote Workers, and Identifying and Protecting Sensitive Information.

Where We Go from Here: Skyhigh Security looks ahead to 2023

Gartner Peer Insights Customers’ Choice are the subjective opinions of individual end-user reviews, ratings, and data applied against a documented methodology. Gartner Peer Insights reviews constitute the subjective opinions of individual end users based on their own experiences and do not represent the views of Gartner or its affiliates. So yes, these honors come from those who work with us on a daily basis. We protect the data that matters most to corporations and organizations.

But the real question remains: What’s next?

Skyhigh Security emerged out of McAfee Enterprise in 2022, with the focus on helping customers secure the world’s data. We create cloud-native security solutions that are both data-aware and simple to use, going beyond data access and focuses on data use, allowing organizations to collaborate from any device and from anywhere without sacrificing security. While honors such as these are wonderful to receive, we also know we have to continue in developing the products, the platforms, and the solutions that will continue to protect your cloud environments. Innovation continues by having our next solutions held to the standards we set for ourselves, and by the standards set by the people we protect.
