Since Skyhigh Security burst onto the scene in March 2022, our North Star has been to protect our customers’ organizations and employees by securing their data wherever it resides. We’ve been delivering on this mission ever since, giving them a converged platform to safeguard their business-critical data across the web, cloud, private applications, emails, and endpoints.
Our customers are at the core of everything we do, and finding new ways to deepen our commitment to them and improve their ROI remained our top focus in 2023. Our teams have been busier than ever supporting existing and prospective customers as they transition to the cloud and take measures to prevent data loss and security incidents. To demonstrate our innovations and further stand out in our market, we’ve also introduced exciting new features and capabilities to our Skyhigh Security Service Edge (SSE) portfolio.
Our Market-Leading SSE Portfolio
We recognized early on that the increasing adoption of hybrid work models and “anytime, anywhere” collaboration presented new challenges in data security that required truly innovative solutions.
That’s why we’re proud to offer one of the most robust cloud security platforms on the market—built to be simple and intuitive for customers to use. Through our single platform with a unified portal, customers have a consolidated view of users, policies, and classifications to protect and manage all their data easily.
Continuous improvement is part of our DNA at Skyhigh Security and we are always looking to optimize our offerings. To keep up with industry demands and the evolving threat landscape, here’s a glimpse of what’s new in our portfolio from 2023:
- Advanced Exact Data Match (EDM) for enhancing data protection, reducing false positives, and simplifying compliance
- Addition of Remote Browser Isolation (RBI) to Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB) and Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) for increasing protection from malicious web content
- Innovative data protection capabilities for enabling the secure use of AI applications
- Unified Index Document Matching (IDM) to protect sensitive data stored in Word, PDF, PPT, images, or CAD documents
Securing Artificial Intelligence
In response to the skyrocketing adoption of emerging generative AI technologies, Skyhigh Security spent 2023 focusing on enabling organizations to leverage these innovative applications while protecting their sensitive and business-critical data. Our global telemetry data found that close to a million of our users have accessed ChatGPT through corporate infrastructures. While these new applications have extraordinary potential to kick-start creative projects, boost efficiency, and much more, they also pose brand new security challenges due to how they’re being used internally by employees and targeted externally by cybercriminals.
However, we’re well-positioned to help our customers take advantage of the vast array of benefits of Generative AI without sacrificing security. With our cloud registry of over 38,000 cloud services—including more than 700 different AI services—users gain much-needed visibility into which AI applications are being used and their corresponding risk levels. Customers can apply existing data loss prevention policies and implement custom security controls for these services.
Skyhigh Security Key Milestones
In addition to rolling out game-changing product capabilities, Skyhigh Security has many more accomplishments to be proud of. Let’s review some of the highlights:
Skyhigh Security conducts 100% of its business through mutually beneficial relationships with our partners, so the launch of the Altitude Program was a key investment in the success of our channel ecosystem. Our partner portal provides our valued partners with the incentives, tools, and information they need to help alleviate our customers’ data protection challenges. Since the program’s launch in February, our world-class channel team has already seen the benefits of nurturing highly informed and passionate partners.
Industry Accolades
Skyhigh Security’s momentum and our team’s hard work in 2023 have not gone unnoticed in the industry. We were named a Visionary in the 2023 Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ for Security Service Edge1, which evaluates vendors based on their Ability to Execute and Completeness of Vision. Additionally, we received the highest score in two of the four use cases in the 2023 Gartner Critical Capabilities for Security Service Edge2, namely “Secure Web and Cloud Usage” and “Detect and Mitigate Threats.”
We also won a host of awards for our platform and people this year, including:
- Stratus Awards for Cloud Computing
- CRN Edge Computing 100
- Fortress Cyber Security Awards
- Cyber Defense Magazine (CDM) Global InfoSec Awards
- CRN Women on the Rise of the IT Channel
- CRN 100 People You Don’t Know But Should
- CRN Women of the Channel
- SVL Executive Cultura Ambassador
With that, another great year is in the books. As we officially welcome the new year, I want to acknowledge that none of the above milestones would have been possible without the dedication of each and every one of our team members. From the start, they’ve been agile and wholeheartedly energized by our mission to protect the modern workforce with security that follows data and users wherever they go.
Wishing you all a prosperous and fulfilling 2024!
