At its heart, security is a data protection problem. Security vendors recognize this and have responded by creating sophisticated point solutions to secure data wherever it resides. Unfortunately, today’s data is everywhere. This requires organizations to stitch these disparate technologies together to produce a comprehensive solution. There is a better way, and earlier this year we launched Skyhigh Security to help customers take advantage of this innovative technology. We developed a top-down approach focusing on the data itself rather than the traditional bottom-up process of starting from where it is stored. This radically simplifies data security by expanding Zero Trust principles to how the data is used rather than how it is accessed. Our approach has been extremely well received by our customers and the industry alike. Since our launch, it has been incredible to see what the people of Skyhigh Security have accomplished in such a short time. Here are some of their highlights.
Industry Recognition:
It took us many years to develop the underlying technology as well as the creation of a global cloud platform. Our technology is now trusted by thousands of customers, ranging from nearly half of the Fortune 10 to more than a third of the Fortune 500. In the financial sector, 8 out of 10 of the world’s largest banks rely on Skyhigh Security.
Gartner recognized us as a Leader in the 2022 Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ for Security Service Edge.1
We were named in 2022 Critical Capabilities for Security Service Edge.2 We also received the Customers’ Choice distinction across seven segments in the Gartner® Peer Insights™ ‘Voice of the Customer’: Security Service Edge report.3 The Skyhigh SSE portfolio achieved an overall rating of 4.7 out of 5 with more than 670 verified customer reviews as of May 2022.
Awards:
It didn’t stop there! We were honored to be one of the CRN 100 Coolest Cloud Companies and recognized across the CRN Edge Computing 100, Cyber Defense Magazine Global InfoSec Awards, Cybersecurity Excellence Awards, Cyber Defense Magazine Global Infosec Awards and the Tech Ascension Awards.
In a brief time, we have truly established ourselves as a leader in the ~$2.5B Security Service Edge market.4
New Innovations:
This year, I traveled the world to hear from our customers. They continue to push our teams to new levels of excellence, and it’s their invaluable feedback that helps us to innovate and evolve our platform.
We continue to push our innovation engine and announced several new product capabilities, including:
- Skyhigh Secure Web Gateway hybrid solution added to our Skyhigh Cloud Platform
- A truly unique User Risk Score to help determine the risk of a user based on activities and identify insider threats
- Skyhigh Private Access enhanced mobile support and search functionality
- Data Loss Prevention with optical character recognition
- Continued expansion of our services and global points of presence
Beyond that, we created a blazingly fast Exact Data Matching capability, which is now capable of training on a database at a rate of 1 billion cells per hour—by far the fastest in the industry. We continue to simplify our user experience by enhancing our dashboards and released our Skyhigh Private Access Clientless support. We were also the first dedicated cloud-security vendor to achieve the Department of Defense’s Provisional Authorization to Operate at Impact Level 5 Certification for our Cloud Access Security Broker.
Industry Relationships:
In addition, we achieved Amazon Web Services (AWS) Security Competency status in the Infrastructure Security category. This designation recognizes Skyhigh Security’s deep technical expertise in AWS and proven success in helping customers adopt cloud-native security solutions that are both data-aware and simple to use.
Recognizing Women in Cyber:
At Skyhigh Security we embrace diversity and are very proud that CRN, a brand of The Channel Company, named Kimberley Winfield, our channel development manager, to the 2022 Rising Female Stars of the IT Channel list, which honors 100 women who are making a difference for solution providers in the IT channel. Brook Noelke, our worldwide channel technical lead, made CRN’s 2022 Women of the Channel list. As part of our commitment to developing careers even further, we partnered with Gotara, a global career growth platform for women in STEM+ offering confidential career advice and mentoring support to our future leaders.
As we close out 2022, I want to thank the entire Skyhigh Security team, our partners and our customers. It has truly been a historic year, marked with many important milestones. Thank you for believing in our vision of protecting the world’s data and for taking this journey with us.
I am energized about what we can do in 2023. Until then, I wish you happy holidays.
